A little vacation outfit diary. 💌
As a surprise to no one reading this, I use my Notes app when planning what I want to wear on a vacation—starting a fresh Note to craft a thorough packing list and plan outfits for each day I’m away. I always start with what’s in my closet and identify any holes for potential purchases. I avoid buying anything specifically for a trip or occasion, as that feels like a waste of resources and creativity. (As a generally good rule of thumb when buying something, I attempt to create three different outfits with pieces I already own.)
However, I am a human being, and this past week marked my first real vacation in 3+ years. So, I strategically made a few purchases over the past few months, including a pink pointelle top & skirt by Cormio and a sheer slip dress by KYE Intimates. More on those below!
To me, and perhaps to most, I see a vacation as my chance to be a little more daring with my look and love to use it as an opportunity to mix in special pieces, or combinations of pieces, that wouldn’t make sense for everyday life.
Here’s what I wore on vacation last week…
OUTFIT 1
Cormio pink pointelle rosetta tank: You saw this in the January Outfits newsletter, and I’m happy to report it is still on sale via Harvey Nichols.
Cormio pink linen midi skirt: I ended up finding this on eBay over the holidays. I love that the two pieces are different shades of pink and not an exact matching set.

BY FAR ‘Jack 30’ thongs via Depop: These are a few seasons old, but here are two pairs in black (size 38 and 40), plus a pair in white.
Where I wore it: To eat my weight in ceviche on night one.

Vintage Chanel PVC tote bag: This bag was made for vacation, and I’m pleased to finally give her one.
Where I wore it: To get matcha before lounging by the pool for six hours.
OUTFIT 3
FEEL studios blue ozone genuine jean: Worn in my true size.
Kye Intimates overlay slip dress in bone: I am in love with this dress. The cut is perfection. If you have ideas of how to make this work outside of vacation, please, tell me. I’m all ears.

Birkenstock ‘Arizona’ suede sandals: I’ve worn Birkenstocks for more than half my life at this point. They are as classic as it gets.
