September Outfits

Early fall looks featuring Martine Rose wrap shirts & a knit tank from Hai.

I’ve been feeling a bit burnt out on inspiration when getting dressed lately, which tends to happen to me as the seasons change. I’ve found myself gravitating towards simple, reliable silhouettes as a reset. On the other hand… I recently purchased the Martine Rose button ups from my fall wishlist and a knit pink top from Hai I’d been eyeing since spring. I’m looking forward to mixing them with some of the workhorses in my closet this month. Here’s what I plan on wearing for the early stages of fall.

Where I’d wear it: A simple daytime look that I’d wear virtually anywhere.

OUTFIT 3

• Hai ‘Elena’ top

• Toteme compact knit leggings

• Hai little silk bag

Where I’d wear it: I was heavily inspired by how Molly Blutstein styled this Hai top after it popped up in my feed the other week. I’d wear this to grab dinner or drinks and think it will look just as good with a leather trench on top when the weather drops.

OUTFIT 4

Where I’d wear it: My ideal outfit for a busy day—I’d wear this to school drop off, followed by a day of errands and meetings.

OUTFIT 5

• Nu Swim short shell dress: Over the past two years, I’ve been slowly collecting all of Nu Swim’s organic cotton pieces—I spent most of August in the black short stretch short and some combination of the ginger (or shell) tank with the smile sweatshirt (in butter, chocolate, or zinc) thrown on top. I recently grabbed this dress during their end-of-summer sale and it’s another winner.
