October Outfits II

Wearing a dress over pants and riding the capri trend to the bitter end.

I’ve officially been cataloging my outfits on Substack for one whole year, which means we’ve entered “part two” of the monthly outfit newsletter series—how do we feel? I wasn’t quite sure how far I would take this thing when I claimed my Substack account in 2021, followed by a brief sixteen-month hiatus to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I am forever grateful to anyone who reads it, shares it, etc. (and am once again thanking you for being here!). This month, I’m breaking out knits, adding FEEL jeans under my Nu Swim shell dress, and looking forward to my favorite fleeting weather phenomenon that allows me to wear sandals with a leather trench. Here’s what I’m wearing this month…

OUTFIT 1

• Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo leather bag via TRR: I got my red leather bag.

Where I’d wear it: I wore this to dinner with friends the other night with a leather trench on top—I love the combination of buttery yellow and red and will continue to wear this for upcoming dinners this fall.

OUTFIT 2

Where I’d wear it: A very cozy and comfortable look that I’d wear day or night.

• Vintage 90s Dolce & Gabanna knit tank via TRR: This ribbed wool tank was one of the items I shared from my saves on TRR via the subscriber chat; nobody bit, and the price kept dropping, so she’s mine now.

Where I’d wear it: I’d wear this to meetings when the weather gets chillier, with a leather trench on top.

OUTFIT 4

Where I’d wear it: A sweet little outfit I’d wear while it’s still warm-ish out, to spend an afternoon at the museum, lunch, or to simply walk around and explore with the family.

OUTFIT 5

• FEEL studios genuine jean in blue ozone: Worn two sizes too big.

• extreme cashmere N°108 one-shoulder top: This is from a few years ago, but here it is in brown currently on sale (just one left!).

• Maison Margiela Tabi slingbacks

• Vintage Chanel PVC tote: Going on year four of being absolutely enamored with this bag, 10/10 reccomend. Here’s one on eBay if you’re considering it.

Where I’d wear it: Anywhere?
