November Outfits III

In the trenches of brown corduroy season.

Over the summer, I took stock of areas of my closet that needed some attention. I’ve since made a concerted effort to increase my knits, outerwear, and bag collections and procured a buttery-yellow knit from Pure Cashmere, an ecru wool cardigan by Soeur, and (while not as practical, still technically a knit!) Emily Dawn Long’s slinky backless tank in ash grey. All of which play nicely with my go-to pants of the season: brown corduroys. I’m actively working on adding to my outerwear and bag collections, but more on that in another letter. Here’s what I look forward to wearing this month…

OUTFIT 1

• Pure Cashmere NYC boatneck ribbed sweater

• Levi’s baggy dad corduroy pants: A few sizes are available via Aritzia. Let’s all manifest Levi’s bringing this style back because I wouldn’t mind a back up pair, amen.

• Soeur ‘lyne’ cardigan: Available at a lower price, but in fewer sizes, via Farfetch.

• GAP organic cotton 90s jeans: I was first introduced to this men’s style when

  joelle hyman
  waxed poetically about them on her Substack a few months ago. When I saw GAP’s sitewide 40% off sale, I decided to give them a shot—dear reader, she was right.

• Vintage Christian Dior yellow striped button down: While I can’t find this exact colorway on resale sites, here is a very good blue stripe version of my shirt.

• Vintage Prada “cinghiale” bowler bag: Here’s mine (though I got mine at a much lower price and think you could send an offer accordingly…), and more in yellow, beige with red leather, and camel.

• Vintage Donald J. Pliner suede mules via TRR
