June Outfits III

Nu Swim basics, vintage Prada, and a surprisingly good pair of Banana Republic jeans.

First, a closet status report. I took advantage of the recent Nu Swim sale and picked up the new iteration of the brand’s daily tees (perfect), capri leggings, and a pair of oxblood crinkle patent leather thong sandals I’ve been thinking about since last summer. I also sent off a few of my neglected pieces to The RealReal and opted for payment via store credit—everyone, meet my Prada 1995 Re-Edition tote and early 2000s nylon duffle bag.

Finally, I’ve been on a mission to find a good pair of white jeans since my postpartum FEEL Studios pair no longer fits the way I’d like them to. After several SSENSE returns and a failed visit to the tailor, I eventually found love in a hopeless place: Banana Republic. I spotted a promising pair in the store’s window while walking to my car after a doctor’s appointment, and was pleasantly surprised when I tried them on.

Here’s what I’ve worn these past few weeks, and what I plan to wear for the foreseeable future.

OUTFIT 1

• Vintage Prada brown wool trousers via The RealReal: Here’s a similar pair (US 6), plus this dark green pair (US 4).

• Flore Flore green ‘esme’ tank (color no longer available)

• Vintage Prada patent leather t-strap sandals: Here’s my pair in a size 8 and another 8 via eBay.

• Prada ‘Re-Edition 1995’ spazzolato tote via TRR: This style will pop up on TRR, but they go quickly—find similar vintage versions here, here, here, and this brown spazzolato leather tote.
