Depop finds I've added recently and really good silver necklaces to consider.
I mentioned in the October Outfits newsletter that I also reference my outfit planning Note when considering new purchases; I find that seeing what I want to wear that month, all laid out in front of me, is very useful when identifying holes in getting dressed or justifying an addition. Which leads me to Footnotes! A mid-month series in which I’ll detail updates to my closet, pieces I’m considering, or outfits I’ve worn recently that were not included in the monthly newsletter.
Brown Leather Coat
This Nicole Saldana "lou" coat got away from me last winter and I’ve had unfinished business with brown leather coats ever since. A leather coat is a staple for me in colder months, and I’ve found that there are incredible options to be had via consignment or secondhand, so much so that I’ve yet to actually purchase a leather coat brand-new. I have a saved search on The Real Real for leather blazers but have been waiting months and still haven’t found a brown version that I loved, so I searched “brown leather blazer” on Depop recently and found this mens jacket. I’m very happy with it.

Brown Shoes
Like the rest of the internet, I’ve been considering a Samba. As the temperatures drop, I’ve noticed a need for an everyday shoe that was not a sandal. I don’t understand apps like StockX, so I was not married to the idea of a Samba, but after I secured my brown leather jacket on Depop, I discovered a seller that has a colorful collection of Samba-adjacent styles that I love. When I saw a pair in my size in the perfect shades of brown and cream, I caved.

Silver Necklaces I’m Currently Considering
Finally, I’ve been looking for a classic silver chain necklace. I don’t own many necklaces at all, because I am very picky when it comes to jewelry. I like my pieces to be interesting, non-fussy, and something that goes with virtually everything I own. This eliminates a lot of options…
I haven’t pulled the trigger on a silver necklace yet, but I do have the following tabs currently open on my phone while I mull it over:
Hernán Herdez is one of my favorite jewelry designers right now but I’ve yet to order anything... I love the ID and La Cubana necklaces (I waited too long on this now sold out ring and regret it deeply)
This Pelagos necklace by Corali is my #1 contender but the price tag is tempering my enthusiasm
I also love the look of the Elliot Chain Necklace by Omnis Studios
